NSBE 2008-2009 Sponsors
One main goal of our organization is to foster academic excellence and provide outreach into the community. To promote academic excellence, increase education to the underserved, and promote volunteerism, our chapter developed and/or participated in the following programs: Pre-college Initiative (PCI), where NSBE members serve as counselors, tutors, and role models to area high school students while promoting engineering as a profession; community service projects, such as Walk for Education and weekly tutoring sessions for college students; and the Leadership Shadowing program, which serves as a leadership training program. In addition, we offer our members corporate presentations from various companies, which represent an "insider's view of the business world. With these and other endeavors, we hope to foster the importance of academic excellence, social responsibility, and professional development at the undergraduate and graduate level. To continue reaching our goals, we need corporate partners working with us. Without your partnership as a corporate sponsor, it will be extremely difficult to reach the goals of our NSBE chapter as well as serve the community. We are a non-profit student organization.
